1971

Protecting Currency Sovereignty

PERURI was established in 1971 through Government Regulation Number 60 of 1971, resulting from the merger of the state-owned companies (PN) Arta Yasa and PN Pertjetakan Kebajoran. PERURI carries a special mandate from the government to print the Rupiah currency as a symbol of national sovereignty, as well as other vital documents such as passports, stamps, excise tapes, and land documents.

2019

Strengthen Digital Security

With extensive experience in safeguarding the authenticity of the Republic of Indonesia's currency and other security documents, PERURI has transformed into the digital security business. This year, PERURI launched its first digital security products and services to the public through three product lines: Peruri Sign, Peruri Code, and Peruri Trust. This is outlined in Government Regulation Number 6 of 2019, which states that PERURI is authorized to conduct digital security services.

2021

Promote the Digitalization of Stamp Duty Taxation

PERURI's efforts in digital security business have earned high trust from clients in both the government, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and private sectors. This success has led to further trust from the government, where PERURI has been appointed as the official entity to create and distribute Electronic Stamps (e-Meterai) under Government Regulation Number 86 of 2021. With its high-security features, PERURI's e-Meterai ensures the authenticity and legality of electronic documents, reducing the risk of forgery and ensuring legal compliance in digital transactions.

2023

Acceleration of Government Digitalization

PERURI's digital capabilities have reached an important milestone with the company's appointment by the government as Government Technology (GovTech Indonesia) under the name INA DIGITAL. This assignment is based on Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2023, which designates PERURI as the organizer of the Indonesian Government Digital Services Ecosystem Integration. This trust demonstrates PERURI's credibility and competence in supporting the government in accelerating digital transformation. With this strategic role, PERURI contributes to providing integrated public services and delivers tangible benefits to the broader community in building a sustainable national digital ecosystem.

PERURI as a Vital National Object

As a company classified as a Vital National Object (Obvitnas), PERURI requires strict security to protect itself from threaths, both external and internal.

In 2014, PERURI was assigned as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) in the category of Vital National Object in the industrial sector, in accordance with the Minister of Industry Decree No. 466/M-IND/Kep/8/2014. That same year, PERURI expanded its facilities by adding a new building for a banknote production line in Karawang.

Based on the verification by the National Vital Object Team (OVNI) of industrial companies and/or industrial estate companies proposed and/or applied to be designated as Vital National Objects in the industrial sector in 2015, it has been deemed necessary to officially assign these companies as such. Considering the points mentioned in Section A, it is necessary to issue the Second Amendment to the Minister of Industry's Decree Number 620/M-IND/Kep/12/2012 concerning Vital National Objects in the Industrial Sector.
